Some other things to highlight:
The Blaisdell is not like a typical mansion when you think of mansions. We are bright, white, lots of natural lighting, and we have a ballroom that features soaring ceilings and accommodates large weddings!
The Blaisdell does not have food and beverage minimums
The Blaisdell does not do tier liquor packages you commonly find at venues. Couples meet with our partners at Liquid Motion to discuss their wants/needs and options. Yes, they have options! And options that won't break the bank!
2. How do you help a couple create their perfect wedding?
We help couples create their perfect wedding by first and foremost offering several different packages that allow couples to choose their perfect day. Whether they envision a large, 200+ plus wedding, or a small, intimate ceremony with less than 30 guests, we have the package right for them. Secondly, we really work with couples and meet them where they are at. We offer very flexible payment plans and throughout COVID we’ve allowed our couples to reschedule without any transfer fees, and more. We truly want to help each couple craft their perfect day and try to be as flexible as we can.
3. What are the current trends you've seen with weddings?
Smaller weddings is certainly the trends we are seeing most from a venue standpoint. While we love every size of wedding, the intimate weddings we have been holding at The Blaisdell are truly special and beautiful.
4. What other events, besides weddings, does The Blaisdell host?
While we mostly host weddings, we have hosted a wide range of events from bridal showers to corporate events, galas and fundraisers.
5. What other events, besides weddings, does The Blaisdell host?
The Blaisdell features a Parlor at the front of the mansion that is a multi-use stunning room - from ceremony space for intimate weddings, to a space for cocktail hour while the Ballroom is flipped, it can be used in so many ways. A big favorite of our couples’ is our Luxury Suite and Billiard Room. The men tend to enjoy the Billiard room for getting ready with a TV, couches, mini-fridge and obviously, a pool table. Meanwhile, the bride and her bridal party tend to enjoy the Luxury Suite for getting ready - with countless windows for natural light, large, full-length mirror for getting dressed, mirrors, sink, counter space, mini-fridge, and private bathroom, it’s got everything you might need for getting ready. We also have a second floor Great Room that many may not know about. This floor is flanked from side to side in windows. It’s a perfect space for cocktail-hour while the Ballroom is flipped. Inside the Ballroom, we have a built-in bar that couples really appreciate as it doesn’t take any floor space away!
