Creative Ideas for a Covid Wedding

The pandemic is making couples get creative when it comes to planning their wedding. Having to get creative with guest lists, social distancing, sanitizing, etc. can be a lot of work on top of the already stressful wedding planning.

With that being said, we have accumulated a list of fun ideas to add to your wedding!

  • Have a “Drive-In” wedding. Set up a big projector screen and broadcast your ceremony. Have your guests sit in the car and watch your ceremony in the comfort and safety of their cars!

    • Hint: Make it fun and inviting by having them give tickets that were their invitations and have little gift bags of wedding treats and snacks to celebrate with you!

  • Have socially distanced wristbands to symbolize the level of comfort for your guests.

    • Have red, yellow, and green, to symbolize not coming close to someone (red), being okay with being near and maybe elbow bumping (yellow), or being comfortable with things such as hugs and high fives (green).

  • Have friends and family pre-record their speeches

    • Have a private elopement with you and your fiance and have those closest record videos of their speeches, so it can feel as if you are all celebrating together. Make it even more special by recording your reactions to the speeches to share with said friends and family.

  • If you decided to cancel your big reception and celebrate with a smaller group on the day-of, use that extra time and money to give back to your community. Go and serve food at a local homeless shelter or purchase materials for families in need.

There are many more creative ways to celebrate your wedding despite the circumstance. Hopefully these stir up some ideas in you!
