Weddings Favors: Think Outside The Box

Wedding favors... they're cute and fun, but some would even say they're a waste of money. Are they needed? Probably not. BUT -- they definitely add a nice touch to your wedding and are a nice way of saying "thank you" to your guests. When it comes to wedding favors, I've seen it all. There are so many options to choose from whether its chocolate, sunglasses or lip balm -- for starters. The key here is to find a way to tie it into your wedding theme. Better yet, why not double up and make your wedding favors become something more... Something more as in escort cards!

For my destination wedding in Cancun, our "escort cards" also served as wedding favors. Mini patron bottles tied with ribbon, and a name and table number attached (DIY!) Not to mention, I was able to incorporate our wedding colors (eggplant, tiffany blue and tropical green) into the mini patron bottles as well simply using the ribbon and the sticker on the cap. As guests arrived to the reception, we had a table out front with all of the mini patron bottles on display. From here, our guests knew exactly what to do. Find their name, take their mini patron bottle and grab a seat at their table. Oh - and if you're wondering - most of our guests took their shot of patron right away. Someone has to get the party started, right?! 

So, there you have it. A simple, fun and creative way to double up and have your wedding favors also serve as escort cards!
