Deciding on what kinds of alcohol to provide at your wedding can be a difficult task. There’s the cost of it, who should pay, open bar vs. cash bar, and what types to serve. These are just some of the questions that couples need to discuss while planning their wedding. Having a signature drink could liven up a variety of what is had. Many times, it’s just beer and wine that is served, but having a signature drink could bring a fresh and fun twist to your wedding.

Perhaps you and your fiance have a funny story that involves a special drink or the two of you met for the first time over drinks. Whatever it is, adding the drink to your wedding could be a great storyteller. This is a great way to cut costs for your alcohol budget because this could avoid having other types of liquors at the bar. You could also make this a drink that your guests have to pay for and limit the time or amount for the open bar.

Making a game out if it could be fun and a great way to once again, bring out the personalities of you and your significant other. Only telling one or two people about the drink could create a challenge type of experience in which they have to go around telling others about the drink. Or the guests could explain to one another the backstory of the drink could be a fun way to engage your guests on a more personal level.

These are just a couple of ways in which to decide if a signature drink is right for you! Maybe you’re more of a beer and wine couple, which is absolutely acceptable! However, if you’re wanting to find a way to be different or to bring out your personalities a bit more, signature cocktails are a great way to do just that.
