Planning a wedding can seem like a full-time job. Between emailing and meeting with vendors, spending countless hours on finalizing details and so many other things, it can become stressful to fit everything into a schedule. Add in having an actual full-time job and making time for family, friends, and time for yourself, and it can feel pretty much impossible to get all of the planning required done in a short amount of time before the actual big day. Here are some ideas to fit wedding planning into your already busy schedule.

Make a schedule and plan ahead. Have a calendar dedicated to wedding-related tasks that you then combine into your normal calendar. Set aside specific days and hours in the day that is related to wedding planning and meetings that surround wedding details. With having a schedule that revolves solely around wedding planning comes the feeling of getting things done and checking things off of your growing to-do list.

Prioritize. Make sure you are putting what is most important to you first. If that is your fiancé, friends and work, make sure you have set aside the necessary amount of time for these things.

Have a support system. Enlist the help of friends and family that can be your cheerleader or who can maybe take over certain parts of wedding planning. Delegate tasks to people you feel could take on that role. You can be sure that things will be getting done when you can have others around you helping to accomplish those tasks as well.

Hire a wedding planner (like us!) Their job revolves around planning, to enlist professional help to take over the nitty-gritty details of wedding planning. They will be able to save you time because they will have so much knowledge that will save you hours of time spent on Google, Pinterest, Instagram, and sending emails to vendors. They can take things off of your plate that you feel will never be able to fit into your schedule.

Take some YOU time. As mentioned before, it is important to prioritize things and people when it comes to planning your wedding and remaining sane, but within this, it’s important to make time for yourself. Make an appointment to get your nails done, or get a massage, or set aside time in the morning/night to read a book or meditate. Just find time for yourself to ensure that you are able to get everything done without being a massive heap of stress and anxiety.

Wedding planning can be extremely stressful and overwhelming if the necessary steps are not taken to ensure that everything is getting done in a timely manner without feeling like everything else in your life is put on hold. Hopefully, with these tips in mind, you are able to feel more at ease with fitting wedding planning into your already busy schedule.
