There are a lot of venues throughout Minnesota, and it can be overwhelming to find one in the midst of wedding planning! We took it upon ourselves to talk to Commonwealth Properties that have a couple of different venues throughout the Twin Cities and asked them about their properties. Take a look at their responses!

What about your venues would you like to highlight to couples?
Beautiful St. Paul locations. Classic, historical venues. Elegant, exquisite, beautifully restored. Between the multiple venues, we can host almost any size, and cater to just about any theme.

How do you help a couple create their perfect wedding?
We customize every wedding here to fit the couple’s budget and vision. I always ask what is most important to them when we start to work out the details. This helps guide them as they figure out how to allocate their money. Many contacts in the industry to help them check those necessary “boxes” in planning their event.

What are the current trends you've seen with weddings?
I see more people than ever wanting their wedding to be unique to them. Though our spaces are not trendy, so people that come here generally appreciate the history and natural beauty of the spaces, while adding their own unique touches to create a wedding like no one else’s.

What other events, besides weddings, do your venues host?
Any other corporate meetings, events, fundraisers. We have venues ranging from a 16 person board meeting in our library, up to a 400 person mixed seating gala in our ballroom, and everything in between. Our venues can host cocktail receptions, themed fundraisers (made even easier at The Commodore, our jazz era restaurant), private dining, fully wired meetings with breakout spaces, full multi-course galas, off-site retreats both in St. Paul and outside of St. Paul. We have hotels downtown St. Paul, as well as an 8 room boutique hotel on Summit Ave, to offer lodging options.

What are some amenities and unique offerings your venues have to offer?
One-stop-shop – ability to help you book grooms dinner, hotel blocks, special lodging for in-laws (Davidson) St. Paul Athletic Club building can host a ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in one place.
