Real Wedding: Rachel & Christian

This week we're highlighting Rachel & Christian’s wedding that took place at Rachel’s family farm in Alma, Wisconsin on Saturday, June 1st, 2019. Rachel and her Mom contacted us in the spring of 2018 inquiring about our full planning wedding services. While Rachel wanted to have her wedding on the family farm where she spent a lot of her time growing up, she wasn’t quite sure if this was feasible. We kicked off our first planning meeting a few short months later and discussed the layout at the family farm and got to booking vendors right away. Vendors can definitely help make a wedding come to life so we wanted to ensure we had the very best for Rachel & Christian, especially given this was a “new venue" in which a large wedding/event hadn’t yet been hosted there.

A few months later, we took a road trip to Alma, Wisconsin to finally tour the family farm and see how we could make the space work for Rachel & Christian’s big day. The space was gorgeous and after about a 30 minute walk-thru, we were most certain we could make this space work for Rachel & Christian’s big day! We discussed having the ceremony out in the valley which was about a 3-minute walk from the farmhouse and surrounded by trees and nature making the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. From there, cocktail hour would be right outside the farmhouse where a bar and cocktail tables would be setup. We then debated if we should have dinner inside the farm house or in the tent out in the lawn. Eventually, we decided to have dinner in the farmhouse and have the dance party outdoors in the tent. After we drove away, we could totally envision the space and knew it would be the most perfect day.

Fast forward to the wedding day and it was so much fun to see all of our months of planning come to life! The girls were getting ready upstairs in the farmhouse (aka bridal suite), while the vendors were downstairs starting to arrive and setup the space. The ceremony space was perfect — set with 200 chairs and a gorgeous backdrop decked out with flowers. Meanwhile, the vendors were putting the final touches inside the farmhouse and under the tent. The space was decked out with gorgeous flowers, beautiful chargers on the tables complete with a menu card at each place setting. Everything was so very lovely! The day went off without a hitch and was definitely one to remember. During speeches, it was brought up multiple times that Rachel grew up on this very family farm and lots of memories were made there. Even more memories (and probably some of the best!) were made on June 1st, 2019 at the family farm. We are so glad we could be part of Rachel & Christian’s day and help plan it from concept to execution. Rachel & Christian -- CONGRATULATIONS! Wishing you many years of love, laughter & happiness!
