2017 Wedding Trends

2017 has brought a collection of new, exciting, and unique trends to include at your wedding. Here are some things to think about when planning the big day:

When choosing a color palatte, go green! There’s a reason Pantone’s color of the year is greenery- it’s elegant, vibrant, earthy, and isn’t confined to a particular season. Brides love the fresh, classic, look this color adds, (not to mention budget friendly). Greenery will add texture to any wedding canvas especially when paired with the ever popular rose gold and blush. Add these neutrals to your invites, table décor, bouquet, or bridesmaid dresses.

Speaking of dresses, let’s get into 2017’s wedding fashion trends.

For the ladies…think metallic accents, breezy silhouettes, detachable skirts, floral embellishments, and off the shoulder designs. All of these have proven very popular this year and are guaranteed to turn heads. 

For the guys…Classic black suits are timeless, however in 2017 we’re seeing a more expressive and colorful theme. For example, picture embroidered lapels, contrasting ties, unique vests, and geometric and floral patterns.

Now on to food…Although the traditional sit down dinner has its perks, couples are choosing more laid back, interactive and personalized dining options this year. A current trend is to set up stations with a selection of favorite eats or local specialties. Lastly, remember the “naked cakes” that took over in the last couple years? Well now Drip cakes are taking their turn in the spotlight. Brides love it because its design adds a touch of whimsy to the cake but doesn’t detract from any intricate detail.
