Your Wedding: Something for the Kids!
On your wedding day, chances are your guests will be sipping cocktails, catching up, and taking it all in. However, have you had a chance to think about entrainment for the kids? Believe it or not, this is one of the most overlooked aspects of planning a wedding. Well, lucky for you there are so many fun and unique ways to keep the kids busy! Whether you want to set aside a kid table or have something set out on their place setting, the options are endless.
Coloring Books. Because what kid doesn't enjoy coloring!? Whether you pick out some coloring books and crayons at your local dollar store or just print some coloring worksheets from your home printer and provide crayons, kids will LOVE this.
Activity Table. You've already got a place card table, card/gift table, dessert table, but we know you've got room for one more! Why not add a kids or activity table to the mix. Set the table up with legos, board games and other fun things to keep the kids busy and entertained.
Photo Opp. Kids love taking photos. Even better, hand them a disposable camera and let them pretend to be the photographer! Who knows, they might even end up being better than your photographer ;)
Movie Room. If your space allows, set up a movie room for the kids. This can be a small room with a TV or projector. Simply pop in a movie and you're good to go. Don't forget the popcorn!
Snacks. Another way to keep the kids busy is provide them with snacks such as juice boxes, fruit snacks and PB&J sandwiches such as the Smuckers Uncrustables.
Babysitters. Why not hire a babysitter to come to your wedding be available to take care of the kids for a bit so the parents can just be, well, adults for a little bit! Some parents will absolutely love this idea and welcome the opportunity to relax for a bit.
These are just a few of the ways you can keep those kids busy and entertained at your wedding. In short, the last thing you need on your big day is a kid having a major meltdown because he or she is tired, bored and getting cranky -- yikes!
