Vendor Spotlight: Linen Effects

We all know how important decor and linens are for a wedding. That is why we interviewed Emily from Linen Effects, a decor company located in Minneapolis, to get all the information needed when it comes to the decor of your wedding!

When and how did you get into the wedding industry?
I started at Linen Effects right out of college in 2012 (St. Cloud State University). I initially got my degree in business management and wanted to move onto law school to become a corporate attorney, but decided in my third year that I wanted a different path in life. I have always loved weddings and events and my family had a connection to Linen Effects. They happened to be in need of a receptionist at the time, so I interviewed and got the job!

Where are you based out of and where do you meet with clients?  
Linen Effects has one location in Minneapolis, just a little north of the North Loop. That is where we meet with clients as well as handle all of our operations.

What types of items do you have available for rent?
Tablecloths, napkins, charger plates, specialty glassware/flatware, chiavari chairs, furniture, draping, centerpieces, and SO MUCH MORE!!

What makes you different at what you do?
We really pride ourselves not only on the quality of our products but also the quality of our customer service. We are there to help clients answer questions on design and help them choose the products that will be right for their design aesthetic and their venue. Additionally, we are available throughout their planning process to assist with any questions that arise or updates that need to be made to their order. We realize that wedding planning is a fluid process and changes happen along the way. We try to be as flexible as we can and offer our expertise as much as needed/wanted.

What do you love most about weddings and events?
There are a couple of things I love most: When clients come in for an appointment and we get to that point where they are so thrilled with their décor and we have that “A-ha! That’s it! That is what I am looking for” moment. Also when we see the décor come together on the day of their wedding! All of the elements that they are working so hard on, coming to fruition! That is so incredible to see!
