How to Plan a Unique Wedding

Planning a wedding is one thing, but have you also thought about the design aspect that goes into it? Of course, you can always check out Pinterest to find some great inspiration and ideas. However, you might find a lot of the same trends on Pinterest which can become repetitive and maybe even a little boring. Instead, how about coming up with something that is uniquely YOU!? Here are some fun ideas to help you plan a unique wedding:

  • Think of something that is unique and special to you and your spouse. Maybe it’s a saying you can incorporate into your decor like a neon sign, or create a signature drink that’s named the saying. The more ideas, the better!

  • Consider having your wedding in the off season, such as during the winter, and have a cozy wedding full of ideas that aren’t seen very often since winter weddings aren’t as popular.

  • Ask your vendors for ideas that they might have. You’d be surprised at what they can dream up and make happen!

  • Be uniquely you! If you are a bride that doesn’t want to wear white, wear a pink or a black dress. Don’t let the traditional aspect of the wedding scare you into thinking you can’t be unique. It’s okay to think outside of the box and to come up with ideas that aren’t seen every day.

  • Going along with the last point, break as many rules as possible. Get away from the ideas you see on Pinterest or hear about at other weddings. Try to think of ideas that are catered to who you are and what you want.

  • Add in ideas that you and your spouse love. If you both love coffee, or if coffee has a special meaning to you, consider bringing in a coffee cart or a coffee themed cake or dessert. Remember to think outside the box!

If you’re worried about the possibility of falling trap into having a Pinterest wedding, don’t worry! Just sit down and brainstorm ways in which you and your spouse can make your wedding about you. Think of things that the two of you love to do together and everything will fall into place from there! You got this.
