We know that weddings can really make a dent in your finances. We have found ways in which you can save some money in your overall wedding budget. Keep on reading to find out what they are.

  1. When it comes to your invitations, save some money by going for a two-ply paper if you like the feel and look of paper stock. Make the rest of the insert cards one-ply. You can save close to $300 for every 100 invitations.

  2. Also with invitations, a huge way to save money would be to direct your guests to your wedding website to RSVP instead of including yet another insert for an RSVP card. You can also include information regarding the rehearsal dinner, day after brunch, and other logistics on the website that can save you even more money when it comes to your invitations.

  3. If you order your dress early enough, such as 8 to 9 months out, you can avoid spending hundreds of dollars on rush fees as well as last-minute alterations.

  4. Follow your favorite vendors on social media. They might be having a giveaway or even a sale. This could definitely help you save some money!

  5. Seek up-and-coming photographers or videographers. Chances are their costs are lower than some of the bigger name photographers in your area. Or, see if some of your favorite photographers or videographers have an associate team to back them up, this would also help you save some money!

  6. Have more greenery than actual flowers in your bouquet and other areas that you want to add some floral. Greenery is inexpensive but adds a lot of different sizes as well as texture.

  7. Repurpose your ceremony wedding flowers to your reception. If you have a large install on a backdrop for your ceremony, considering having this be the focal point on your head table. Or use the bridesmaids’ and bridal bouquet to add color to your tables.

  8. You don’t necessarily need to have escort cards. Consider making one main seating chart poster/display for your guests to find their table.

  9. Another way to save on floral costs would be to fill the room with candles to add to the romance factor and to save on big arrangements. Have a couple of tables with floral arrangements and a couple with an array of candles.

  10. Instead of renting a photo booth, create your own Polaroid station with a couple of cameras and props to get the same effect!

We hope that these ideas have sparked some more cost-saving tips for your wedding!
