Vendor Spotlight: Lahzeh Photography

What do you love most about being a wedding photographer?
I love being a part of one big happy celebration that's literally the most significant day of someone's life. It blows my mind that my role of photographing the day lives LONGGGG after 24 hours -- like these photos will be shared with the grandkids and grand grandkids and so on. It's an honor to be trusted with something so special!
What led you to the wedding industry specifically?
It kinda happened by accident, haha! One year, my intern came to me and said her dance coach was in need of an immediate replacement photographer to cover a proposal for her friend that was happening the next day. I accepted and shot that proposal. My intern and I managed to photograph and videograph this beautiful proposal. A few months later that couple asked me to shoot their wedding video. At that time, I had NEVER done a wedding, let alone a wedding VIDEO. The couple was super open-minded on this and wanted to invest in me so I went for it. The turnout was amazing and I booked a few more wedding video gigs for the same year. I shot 5 wedding videos my first year and at that same time, I was watching incredible wedding photographers work in their element which taught ME a lot about how a wedding is run and how a wedding photographer should work the day of. I have always been more passionate about photography over videography so naturally, I started inching away from videography bookings and investing more into photography... and here we are today, 4 years later :)
What are your favorite wedding trends right now?
2 things:
1. I love love love boho vibes. Pompous grass EVERYTHING is my favorite. Those neutral earth tone colors in bouquets and decor pieces are my absolute faaaav!
2. I LOVE that we are now DITCHING THE TRADITIONAL TRENDS. THAT is my favorite trend right now. Since COVID, I think everyone's been pushed to get creative with all aspects of their wedding so I love seeing couples really make the day their own and not stick to random traditions that they uphold without knowing why they're even doing it!
Tell us about your most memorable and fun wedding/event.
I have so many favorites but the one that immediately came to mind was one I recently had in the Keys for my couple Jacqueline and DJ Thoma. It was a destination resort wedding and those are always a HOOT. To paint a picture: imagine having your closest 80-100 people with you ALL weekend. They arrive and at the beginning they're strangers but by the end of the weekend, EVERYONE is friends with EVERYONE. What a dream! I ALSO get to be a part of this. I love weddings and how they're a one-day big celebration but a full weekend?! COUNT ME IN. I literally befriended the entire bridesmaid squad because I was driving from the airport to the resort with them (and that's 2 hours haha). My couple was awesome enough to include me in all the festivities so I was at the welcome party where I met so many cool people AND saw some of my former couples so I got to catch up with them. The wedding itself was the most glorious and beautiful wedding ever ever EVER. It rained in the morning but my couple's love and excitement were so on fire, there wasn't a worry in the world. It was an effortless day. I also was working with some crazy amazing vendors from all over Florida. Their DJ owns a club in Miami so as you can imagine, him DJing this wedding was a HOOT. I have never seen a dance floor so packed from START to FINISH. ALSO! My friend Will, FROM MN, was my second shooter! Our creative juices were really flowing that day. Oof!
What makes you unique from other wedding photographers?
I love this question! I make it a goal and priority to create one hell of a great and UNIQUE, personalized experience for each and every one of my clients from the moment they book until well after their wedding. I also really befriend my clients throughout the experience. To me, it's not just a -boom- -booked- -okay see ya on your wedding day-. NOPE! I really want to know my clients and being a part of their life journey with them :)
Can you tell us about your packages and price point?
Yes! My current packages start at $4795-5795+. They are based on how many day-of hours of coverage a couple wants and they can customize their packages by adding on an engagement session (if one isn't included in their preferred package) and a day-of-second shooter!
Tell us one thing we might not know about you otherwise.
1. I love donuts and WILL cry if I see a donut wall at a wedding
2. I am a die-hard night owl but try so so hard to be a morning person hahaha UGH it's so hard when I get such a sudden and strong urge to work and be productive at like... 9 pm hahaha then before ya know it, it's 2 am! :/ hehe
3. I'm fluently bilingual! My first language is actually Persian! :D
4. I'm waaaaay shorter than people expect. I'm barely 5' 1.75" I can't even tell you the number of times I've met clients and the first thing they say getting out of the car is "wow, you're way shorter than I expected" haha
