Vendor Spotlight: Alive Studios
Are you still searching for an amazing DJ for your upcoming wedding!? Look no further… introducing Josh with Alive Studios. We worked with Josh earlier this year at Jenna & Chase’s wedding and he is one of our favorite DJ’s to work with. With that being said, we just HAD to find out more about him.
How did you get into DJing?
I have always had a love for music! Growing up my whole family played at least one musical instrument and mine was the drums. I have always loved a good beat but also loved seeing others dance to a good beat. I started DJing after a friend of mine asked me to DJ his wedding. The night was beautiful and the dance was poppin’ all night long! I absolutely love seeing people dance and it feels amazing to be the one that creates that atmosphere and environment.
What led you to the wedding industry, specifically?
Being able to work with amazing people and venues is so much fun. The honor that get to be the final part to a wedding day or the icing on top is so much fun and I love being able to close the wedding day out with a bang!
Tell us about your most memorable and fun wedding/event.
Oh man, so maybe great ones, but I would say my favorite wedding was when we were having such a fun time at the dance that even after the bride and groom had their sparkler send off, the rest of the guests came back in and danced until 2am! We were having so much fun that no one wanted to be done and we literally danced the night away!
What makes you unique from other DJs?
I think what sets me apart is my energetic personality. Anyone can press play on a music system but I think it takes a specific type of person to be able to engaged the dance floor all night long and never have the dance floor cleared. I think I am able to read the guests or crowed really well and make sure that everyone is having a blast dancing to hit after hit after hit, instead waiting for that one song to dance to.
Can you tell us about your packages and price point?
My packages go from anywhere between taking care of all your tech, sound, and audio needs for the whole day (including your ceremony) to just making the dance happen at the end of your special day. What I love to do is sit down with my clients and talk to them about what package best fits there day and budget and then we go from there with pricing and package layout.
Most important piece of advice you would give to people looking for a DJ?
I would make sure you get to know the person DJing for you and that you like/trust them. Like I said earlier, anyone can press play, anyone can shoot a picture or video, but not everyone has a personality that you can trust in. If you want to have someone keep your dance floor filled at your wedding make sure they have the personality that can make it happen.
