Real Wedding: Cate & Jake

This week we're highlighting Cate & Jake’s wedding that took place at JX Event Venue in Stillwater, MN on Monday, December 31st, 2018. Cate came to us earlier in the year in search of a day of coordinator to help oversee all of her vendors and ensure everything ran smoothly on the day of her wedding. We were especially excited for their wedding because it was a NEW YEAR’S EVE wedding (those are seriously the best!) The day of the wedding, our team (Melody & Jessica) showed up to start setting up the decor Cate & Jake provided. Once everything was setup to perfection, we greeted guests and showed them the way to the ceremony upstairs. If you haven’t already been to the JX Event Venue, it is GORGEOUS and one of our personal favorite venues! The ceremony ran smoothly and the ceremony music provided by Anna Miller was lovely. After the ceremony, guests mingled in the bar/cocktail hour area while the final place settings were set by the catering team in the reception room. About 20 minutes prior to dinner, the curtains were opened and guests were seated for dinner. The night continued with dinner, speeches and dancing and an unforgettable New Year’s Eve for all. Not to mention, the groom, Jake, was celebrating his 30th birthday on this day. Cate put together a little surprise for Jake that we helped coordinate which included “3” and “0” sparklers (photo opp!) Around 10:30pm, New Year’s Eve themed party horns & hats were brought out (how fun!) The night ended with a countdown to the New Year and what ended up being the best day ever for the happy couple.
