This week we're highlighting Casey & Andy's wedding that took place at Mount Calvary Church and Hotel Landing on July 14, 2018. Casey came to us in late summer of 2017 in search of a day of coordinator for her upcoming wedding. Since the hotel she was getting married at was brand new, she wanted someone by her side the day of the wedding to ensure everything would go off without a hitch. I think it's safe to say she came to the right place... Events by Melody!

A month before the wedding once her day of coordination package started, we touched base to help finalize the wedding day timeline and other details. Since the day of coordination package includes one final meeting a few weeks before the wedding, Casey asked if we could attend her final site visit the week of her wedding to go over venue-related items which we happy to do so. During this meeting, we met with the venue coordinators and catering manager to discuss the banquet event order (BEO) and other day-of details. We also went upstairs to the foyer and ballroom area to go over the final layouts. Even though we had toured the venue during the winter in preparation of Casey & Andy's wedding, it was helpful to see the venue again and go over all of the final wedding details onsite.

Fast forward to July 14, 2018 -- the big day was finally here! Our team showed up to the reception site to setup all the pretty decor Casey had provided which included escort cards, table numbers, coasters at each place setting, miscellaneous photos and more. Once we finished setting up at the reception site, we headed over the church to ensure everything was running smoothly over there. While the church coordinator handled getting everyone own the aisle, we helped with getting the wedding party rounded and lined up before the ceremony began. After the ceremony, our team grabbed the bridal bouquets and a welcome sign and transported those items back to the reception site. Shortly after, guests started arriving to the Hotel Landing for the cocktail hour upstairs in the foyer area. Once the wedding party arrived, we lined them up for the grand entrance and the party kicked off! From there, dinner was served, and speeches, first dances and a night of partying continued. I'm not going to lie when I say it was so hard to say goodbye at the end of the night! Casey & Andy are such an awesome couple and we really enjoyed working with them.
