This week we're highlighting Leslie & Justin's wedding that took place at the Machine Shop on June 16, 2018. Leslie came to us in spring of 2017 looking for someone to help her plan her wedding. While she mentioned she only needed some guidance along the way since she had most of the planning down, we told her all about our partial planning package and the rest was history! We were thrilled to be working by her side and help plan a beautiful wedding at the Machine Shop in Minneapolis.

For a little over a year, we worked with Leslie & Justin to help plan what would soon become their best day ever. We kept in touch via email every few weeks, worked through a detailed wedding checklist, and provided vendor recommendations that would fit their needs and budget. Throughout the course of the year, we also met a few times over coffee to catch up and make sure all the planning was on track.

Fast forward to the week of the wedding. It was the final days before Leslie & Justin would say "I do" and we helped them immensely that week by finishing up their wedding timeline and sharing it with the venue and vendors, and making sure they had everything they needed to ensure a smooth and stress free wedding day. The day of the wedding, Melody & Hannah showed up right when the venue opened its doors at 1pm to start setting up some of the decor Leslie & Justin had provided. This included some candles down the ceremony aisle, table linens, and escort cards which were upstairs on the second floor for guests to grab during the cocktail hour. As guests arrived, our team greeted them and let them know to grab a glass of bubbly on their way in for a special toast during the ceremony. Meanwhile, as guests were seated, Melody lined up the wedding party and cued the guitarist and got everyone down the aisle flawlessly. The ceremony was beautiful and after Leslie & Justin said, "I do", it was time to corral all the guests upstairs for the cocktail hour. Meanwhile, the downstairs space that was used for the ceremony was being converted to the receptions space (room flip!). Between venue staff, catering, and Melody & Hannah, they made it happen. We then ushered guests back downstairs for the dinner and the night went on to include speeches, first dances, dessert (CAKE!) and a night full of lots of fun and memories that will be cherish forever.
