If you know me, then you KNOW that I have a huge sweet tooth. I love it all from wedding cake, to cupcakes, to.... S'MORES! A few months back, I came across North Mallow at Lizzy & Mike's wedding in Minneapolis, MN. I've seen many couples do the "DIY S'mores" which is also fun, but North Mallow takes it to the next level! Their smore's table is all set up and ready to go with an attendant. Talk about a fun and interactive experience for your guests! Just for the record, if you're wondering, I had 3 s'mores. You have to try one of every flavor (marshmallow), right!? Anyways, I was so intrigued by this concept that I had to reach out to North Mallow's owner, Mike Nelson, and find out more!
Tell us about your business.
North Mallow makes homemade marshmallows in a variety of flavors. We offer a Build Your Own S'mores Bar for any event! Our marshmallows are all natural, no artificial ingredients or chemical preservatives - so they never catch on fire when you roast them! They just melt and golden brown, making the perfect roast every time. We bring everything that is needed for the s'mores bar. We bring regular grahams, gluten free grahams, 3 or 4 flavors of marshmallows and a variety of chocolate that includes classic Hershey's, Reece's Peanut Butter Cups and different kinds of Ghirardelli Chocolate Squares! Our S'mores Bar is much more than a dessert, it truly is an interactive experience that all of your guests can enjoy. Instead of a traditional cake cutting, we have the newly married couple have their "First Roast" - they roast first and photographers and videographers can shoot photos of them roasting and feeding each other s'mores or marshmallows, just like the cake cutting celebration but more fun!

What excites you most about the work you do?
I love that we are part of one's special day, be it a wedding, corporate party, mitzvah or graduation party! I love seeing everyone's smiles when they see that the dessert is s'mores and they can make their own. I especially get excited when it is someone either who has never had a s'more before or someone who hasn't had one in a long time, and you can see them enjoying every moment like they did as a child around the campfire. It brings bake wonderful memories!
What led you to the wedding industry, specifically?
Weddings were a natural fit for s'mores when I started this three years ago. Couples want something different for their wedding, not just cakes or cupcakes anymore. S'mores at events in Minnesota just fits so perfectly. I love meeting with the couple prior the wedding for their free S'more Tasting and they can truly see how their guests are going to love it!
Can you tell us about your packages and price point?
We are there for up to 3 hours and it costs $150 Set up + $4 per guest. It is pretty straight forward. For travel outside of the metro, contact us for information.
