As some of you know, I live south of the river in the rather small city of Savage, Minnesota. When it comes to wedding venues and vendors, well, there isn't much out this way to be honest! My husband and I went to pick up a pizza at Carbones one night and I saw a small wedding-themed shop right next door. I HAD to investigate. Who else was in the wedding industry in my hood!? I did a quick Google search and All the Rage Rentals & Decor came up. I sent an email and off it went. I patiently waited for a response and heard back from one of the co-owners, Michelle. Well, come to find out, that location next to Carbones wasn't them -- but hey -- they were located in Savage as well so I definitely wanted to learn more about them and what they had to offer. As for the location next to Carbones... let's just say that is still a mystery!
Anyway, I finally got the chance to meet co-owners, Michelle and Stacy, and I was really inspired by their story and what they've made of their business! I asked them to do a Q&A which is featured on the blog this week! Check it out for yourself...
Tell us about your business.
All the Rage was born from a love and passion for both entertaining and decorating. We specialize in rustic and vintage wedding rentals and theme props for special events. At All the Rage, you can select unique, one-of-a-kind props and furniture from our extensive rental inventory or have us create a fresh and exciting design for your wedding and decorate it for you. You won't see our rental items on local retail store shelves, we pride ourselves in finding rare and cool items that will “wow” your guests. Our tagline is “if you can dream it, we can theme it”.
What excites you most about the work you do?
We love to be creative! We love when our brides come to us with a color palate and we can use our creative design skills coupled with the use of our extensive inventory to help create look our customers love. We also enjoy when our clients return our rentals and we watch as their faces light up when they show us photos of our rentals that put the finishing touches on their wedding.
What led you to the wedding industry, specifically?
Weddings can be expensive. We wanted to provide an option for bride to be able to have the wedding of their dreams but not break the bank. We also loved the fact that we are being environmentally friendly by reusing items instead of disposing of so much.
Tell us about your most memorable and fun wedding/event.
The most exciting event we decorated was when we were asked to decorate the pre-concert dinner for the Rolling Stones when they performed at TCF Bank Stadium. With only three days notice, we sprang into action and created a world class, world travel theme for the band and crew. We were so excited we had to buy a Rolling Stones concert tshirt!
Can you tell us about your packages and price point?
We feature an online catalog on our website www.allthragedecor.com. There you will find our rentals, categorized and each item lists the price, dimension, description of the item and a photo. We believe in up front pricing so brides can see exactly what they are getting. Our decorating packages are custom quoted for each individual bride based on her needs.

We love shopping and decorating! That is what is so fun about this business! We get to go do what we love every day.
